THE PROBLEM

Clean Recovery Act

Our lives depend on it...

The Problem

The Air We Breathe Is Making Us Sick

Across the U.S., communities are exposed to toxic chemicals every day — not by accident, but by design.

Corporations are legally allowed to release thousands of tons of cancer-causing and neurotoxic chemicals into our air, soil, and water. These toxins don’t just disappear. They build up in our bodies, our food, and our families.

People living near industrial zones, highways, golf courses, and large farms are hit the hardest — and low-income and working-class neighborhoods are often targeted because they’re seen as “less likely to fight back.”

The results? A silent epidemic of disease that’s being ignored.

I’m Always Sick — But No One Knows Why.

Thousands of people go about their days feeling exhausted, inflamed, and unwell. They visit doctor after doctor… but lab work comes back “normal.” They’re told it’s just stress, age, or all in their head.

But the real cause is often environmental exposure.

Most medical professionals aren’t taught how to diagnose or treat chronic chemical exposure — even though the EPA estimates over 100 million Americans are exposed to dangerous toxins every single day.

These chemicals disrupt your immune system, your hormones, and your brain.
They make it harder for your body to heal — or even recognize what’s wrong.

💔 These Health Problems Are Linked to Toxic Pollution:

Health Problems Linked to Toxic Pollution

Asthma

Chronic Fatigue

Brain Fog

Migraines

Autoimmune Disorders

Thyroid Disease

Hormone Imbalance

Anxiety & Panic Attacks

Depression

ADHD & Behavioral Issues in Children

Birth Defects

Infertility

Cancer (especially breast, liver, kidney, and leukemia)

Parkinson’s Disease

Alzheimer’s and Early Cognitive Decline

Lung Disease & COPD

Skin Rashes & Eczema

Digestive Issues (IBS, Crohn’s, etc.)

Nosebleeds and Sinus Inflammation

Heart Disease

Weakened Immune Systems

Premature Death

These are not rare conditions. These are widespread. And they are getting worse.

Who’s Most at Risk?

  • Children and babies

  • Teens
  • Elderly individuals

  • Pregnant women

  • Factory, farm, and warehouse workers

  • People living within 3 miles of industrial plants

  • People who are unaware of their personal health problems.

  • People who struggle with addictions.
  • Homeless People who live outdoors.
  • Pets and wildlife.

In many communities, life expectancy has dropped — simply because of what people are breathing.

We Know What’s Causing It.

And we know what can fix it:
Retrofits. Bioremediation. Stronger laws. Transparent data. And people like you speaking up.

What You Can Do (Right Now)

You don’t have to wait for the government to clean things up — this movement starts with you.

Here’s how you can take action in just a few minutes:

The Clean Recovery Act

What’s in the Clean Recovery Act?

The Clean Recovery Act is a common-sense environmental health bill that protects communities without burdening businesses. Here’s what it does:

✅ 1. Retrofit Existing Polluters

Requires large factories, refineries, golf courses and industrial plants to install affordable pollution and/or chemical control technologies that can reduce harmful toxins and emissions by up to 80%.

✅ 2. Clean Up Toxic Sites

Launches a national bioremediation initiative using plants, fungi, and soil restoration to naturally clean toxic soil and water near factories, farms, and mines.

✅ 3. Transparency for Communities

Creates a public map and notification system so families know what’s being released into their air and water — and who’s responsible.

✅ 4. Phase Out the Worst Offenders

Gradually bans the most dangerous, outdated chemicals when safer options exist — especially those linked to cancer, diabetes, dementia, heart failure,  Parkinson’s, and child developmental delays.

✅ 5. Support for Healthier Jobs

Offers grants and training to help polluting companies transition their workforce to safer, modern technologies without job loss.

Why This Matters (Even If You Feel Fine)

You might not see the pollution — but your body feels it.

Every day, invisible toxins from nearby factories, farms, and mines drift into neighborhoods. They enter our lungs, our water, our food — and over time, they build up in our bodies.

These toxins have been linked to:

  • Chronic fatigue and brain fog

  • Asthma and breathing problems

  • Cancer, autoimmune disease, and Parkinson’s

  • Behavioral and learning issues in children

🧬 Even if you feel okay today, exposure adds up over time — and kids, elders, and pregnant women are especially vulnerable.

You deserve clean air, safe water, and a healthy future.

That’s what this bill is about.
